Collection: PATTACHITRA

Pattachitras are a form of traditional Odisha narrative art that originated as a visual aid during musical performances. The name "Pattachitra" is derived from two Sanskrit words: "patta," meaning canvas, and "chitra," meaning picture. As such, Pattachitras are paintings created on canvas and are characterized by vibrant colors, intricate patterns and designs, and often depict simple mythological themes.
